Five Free Yoga Classes in NYC

International Yoga Day is here! Find out where you can center yourself with these free yoga classes in New York City.

June 20, 2019 | HF Healthy Living Team

June 21 is International Yoga Day, so it’s the perfect time to try yoga! Why? Yoga is a mind-body practice that combines exercise, controlled breathing, and meditation or relaxation. Together, these components can help you experience a holistic approach to health and to find physical, mental, and spiritual balance.

How do you know if yoga is right for you? Yoga is known to improve heart health, coordination, sleep, anxiety, stress, and more. As a complementary therapy, yoga can increase one’s quality of life by improving mood and well-being.

Make sure to talk to your doctor before beginning a new exercise program if you have any chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, or more.

Check out the list below and find a free yoga class in your neighborhood. You can also try some of these exercises at home to help you with your flexibility, stretching, and balance.
