July 30, 2019 | HF Healthy Living Team

As Healthfirst approaches the first anniversary of our partnership with Citi Bike, we’re thrilled about our shared accomplishments and look forward to a promising future. With our sponsorship of the Reduced Fare Rideshare program, NYCHA and SNAP recipients are able to use Citi Bike for just $5 a month.

We believe in the importance of creating affordable and accessible exercise opportunities in order to work towards a healthier New York for all. If you’re looking for a fun way to explore the city, hop on a Citi Bike and try out one of their popular routes. They’ll guide you around scenic areas of the city like Central Park, Prospect Park, Governors Island, and more.

Biking isn’t only a fun way to enjoy the city; it also has countless health benefits such as building muscle and reducing stress. It also helps to keep our planet healthy by reducing carbon emissions and air pollution.

See the city in a new way and explore what New York City has to offer this summer. Take advantage of the beautiful weather now with these routes!

Want to get started with Healthfirst’s reduced fare program? To apply for the Citi Bike discount program, visit CitiBikeNYC and enter a valid EBT card number or NYCHA tenant ID.
